Dr. Gulam Moonda   

Institute is promotted by Dr.MOONDA EDUCATION AND AWARENESS TRUSTWhich is registred under Indian Trust act. The name Moonda is in memory of Gulam Moonda he was born into a lower-middle-class family in India’s coastal state of Gujarat, the birthplace of Mohandas K.Gandhi, the father of our Nation.

Years later, in the United States, Moonda would proudly tell friends he walked on the same sandy beaches as Gandhi, whose philosophy of nonviolence he took to heart. An excellent student, Moonda received scholarships to college and medical school by The Memon Educational & Welfare Society of Mumbai, Because training in urology, his specialty, was more advanced in the United Stated, he left his native land to attend Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia.

In appreciation of the noble work of the Memon Society he has made scholarship fund for Rs.4.5 Lakhs in memory of his mother, which is utilized for the needy students. In the year 2005 on may 13th he has left this world leaving behind his memories and his kind heartedness to the society he belong, and therefore this trust is originated.

The Indian Academy of bio-medical technology and research was started in the year 2001. It is renamed as HOLY CROSS NURSING & PARA MEDICAL COLLEGE in the year 2003. From 2009 onwards our college was changed as HOLY CROSS COLLEGE due to Government norms and University Instructions.

The prime aim of starting this institute was to eradicate employment problem, spread the light of knowledge in health and making students in front of the world with confidence, pride and dignity.
